Shawn Crable Improves New England Patriots Odds

Not that they need much improvement but every little bit helps and Shawn Crable joining the New England Patriots certainly won't hurt that powerhouse team's odds of winning the 2009 Super Bowl.  The Patriots had a near perfect season before losing the 2008 Super Bowl to the huge underdog New York Giants.

From Boston.com:

Crable has the size the Patriots are looking for in that position, as outside linebackers must grapple with tackles and tight ends. Crable has 34.5 inch arms, which will help with that assignment. He will also figure into the special teams mix, and could play in sub packages as a rusher.

Crable, who also fits the profile of big, fast, physical players the team likes on special teams, will look to crack that group.

The New England Patriots were the favorite to win the 2009 Super Bowl heading into this weekend's NFL draft, with the payout potential set at 10/3 odds or $10 paid out for every $3 bet at Super Book

Crable became the third University of Michigan player selected in this weekend's NFL draft.
