Sanjaya's Mom was Running a Pot-Growing Operation?

American Idol castaway Sanjaya Malakar's mother, Jillian Blyth, was busted in Pierce County, Wash., in February 2005 for running a pot-growing operation after neighbors reported smelling marijuana and noticed a large vent on the garage roof, according to court records.

"The stuff was so potent, the neighbors got a 'contact high' every time they walked by - so someone tipped off the cops -- They discovered 310 marijuana plants, plus special high powered growing lights, and Sanjaya's sister - she immediately rolled her mom under a bus, telling the police she was around the corner at her step father's house - When the cops got there, they found a second dope growing business!"

Sanjaya's mum ended up being sentenced to 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to one felony count of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.
