Roy Jones Jr. Turns Down Ron Paul Supporter

First it was John McCain's smoking hot daughter who turned down a second date with a Ron Paul supporter, now fighter Roy Jones Jr. has also turned down another of the 2008 Republican Presidential candidate's supporters.  But unlike Supporter #1, this individual wasn't trying to get in Roy Jones pants.  He did want to paint the guy though.

Fox News Brit Hume reports that Roy Jones Jr. will not be featuring a tattoo supporting Ron Paul on his back during Saturday night's bout with Felix Trinidad.

And one supporter of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul says he offered boxer Roy Jones Jr. $50,000 to get a "Ron Paul 2008" tattoo put on his back before his fight tomorrow night with Felix Trinidad in Las Vegas.

A doctored photo depicting Jones with the tattoo was featured on the Web site Gambling911.com.

The Las Vegas Sun reports Paul supporter Heath Whitaker says his offer to Jones was turned down — because Jones did not want his last fight to be remembered for the tattoo.

Whitaker says he has also contacted promoter Don King about putting a Ron Paul ad on one of the ring girls' cards — but has not yet heard back.

Whitaker insists that those who donated money to this campaign would be refunded in full if it failed to materialize.  Apparently it has not worked out.

Ironically, more people may be betting on Ron Paul and the Nevada Caucuses and South Carolina Primaries Saturday night due to the fact that Roy Jones Jr. is the more popular fighter in this bout (certainly the bigger traffic provider) while failing to incorporate value.

Oddsmakers at betED.com have Roy Jones Jr. as the -360 favorite.  You would have to bet $360 to win $100 (plus get your initial $360 back)  Some would say that's easy money.  Others would say that's no bargain.

Meanwhile, Bodog was offering betting on the South Carolina Primary (not the Nevada Caucuses though, unfortunately).
