Rosie O'Donnell Helps Push Bush Impeachment Drive

AddThis Social Bookmark Button She's a loose cannon for sure but Rosie O'Donnell has helped boost ratings to an all time high at The View, a morning gabfest led by Barbara Walters.  The hot topic this week - outside of O'Donnell's announcement that she will be leaving - Impeach Bush!

"I think we should do it so the world knows that the nation is not standing behind this president's choices; that the nation, a democracy, feels differently than the man who is leading as if it was a dictatorship and that we represent this country; he does not lead as a monarch."

It's not just Rosie whose jumping on the "Impeach Bush" bandwagon.

Vermont state senators voted to call for the impeachment of president George Bush and vice president Dick Cheney, saying their actions in Iraq and the US "raise serious questions of constitutionality".

The non-binding resolution in this northeastern state was approved 16-9 on Friday without debate, all six Republicans in the chamber at the time and three Democrats voted against it.

The resolution was the latest symbolic effort in the state to impeach Bush. In March, 40 towns in the state known for its liberal leaning voted in favour of similar, non-binding resolutions at their annual meetings. State lawmakers in Wisconsin and Washington have also pushed for similar resolutions.

The Vermont Senate is believed to be the first state chamber in the country to pass such a resolution, said Bill Wyatt, a spokesman for the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Rosie O'Donnell leads the brigade against Bush but Gambling911.com's resident drag queen, Sparky Collins, says "Not so fast!"

On Tuesday, Ohio Democrat and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich  introduced a bill to impeach Dick Cheney.

But for online poker sites like AbsolutePoker.com  and Bodog.com who have amassed a large player base in the States following the mass exodus of publicly traded poker companies like PartyPoker and Paradise Poker, Bush is hardly the enemy, nor has the President had much bad to say about online poker.

Enemy number one for the online gambling industry is Jon Kyl (R) out of Arizona.

A petition drive organized by the online gambling industry is gaining steam.  Next stop, the Arizona news media.

The online poker community feels it is important to cite inconsistencies in the Senator's attempts to outlaw internet gambling - more specifically, his last minute overtures to the horse racing lobbyists in which he made sure betting the ponies got exempt from his piece of legislation to ban web wagering.

"He's a hypocrite who cries about children being able to gamble online yet he makes sure horse racing gets exempt from this law!" exclaimed one angry industry operator who wished to remain anonymous.  "How this man sleeps at night is anyone's guess. Rosie (O'Donnell) should start focusing on Jon Kyl instead of Bush and Bush should do the nation all a favor and distance himself from the 'out of control' Arizona Senator."

On that note, so too should Senator - and 2008 Presidential candidate - John McCain.

Speaking for the drag community and online gambling, Rosie we love you!  And don't listen to Donald Trump.  His show will be cancelled after this season.
