Ron Paul Could Prove the Ultimate Threat to John McCain

While Senator John McCain was long named the Republican GOP in this year's race to the US Presidency, long time Congressman Ron Paul has refused to back down and neither have many of his followers.

In both Indiana and North Carolina, Ron Paul received a firm 8 percent of the vote count.  Overall, Paul has gotten anywhere from 4 percent to 8 percent of the vote count.

This is significant indeed.  Come Election Day, there are many who believe that Democrats not enthusiastic about Barack Obama could vote for Ron Paul instead of McCain while a chunk of disenfranchised Republicans could lean more towards Paul as well.

At the peak of his campaign, Ron Paul managed to raise more money than any of his Republican rivals. The Congressman refused to run as an Independent, instead opting to stay on the Republican ticket.

It should be noted that overall approximately 25 percent of Republican voters went against John McCain in both state primaries Tuesday.

Paul is an advocate of freedom to gamble over the Internet.
