Ron Paul Supporters: Where's Giuliani? Will Ron Paul & Rudy Giuliani Debate the Iraq War at Freedom Fest? Gambling911.com's own Carrie Stroup reports on the latest efforts to get both Mr. Paul and Mr. Giuliani debating in Las Vegas at Freedom Fest. It does appear as if Ron Paul will be attending, but Giuliani remains a long shot. Carrie has requested the folks at Sportsbook.com - presently offering political betting odds on the 2008 US Presidential election - to offer odds on Giuliani attending Freedom Fest. Sportsbook.com did not return her call as of Sunday.

The annual FreedomFest conference, has issued a debate invitation to GOP Presidential candidates Rudy Giuliani and Ron Paul to use FreedomFest ‘07 as a debate venue to further explore their fundamental differences in foreign policy and the war in Iraq that were highlighted in the Columbia, SC debate.
"So far I haven’t heard back from the Giuliani Campaign and I’ve sent 3 e-mails to date," asserted Ron Holland, an organizer of FreedomFest, which will be taking place July 5-7 in Las Vegas.
FreedomFest is an annual festival where "free minds meet" to celebrate "great books, great ideas, and great thinkers" in a liberal, open-minded society. It is independent, non-partisan, and not affiliated with any organization or think tank. It's a meeting place for all free thinkers!
FreedomFest is open to anyone who enjoys a wide interest in books, art, music, film, and drama. The event attracts people of all walks of life and across the political spectrum to learn, debate and honor great books, great ideas, and great thinkers.

"Mark Skousen, producer of the annual FreedomFest conference, would like to issue a personal invitation to GOP Presidential candidates Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Congressman Ron Paul to use FreedomFest ‘07 as a debate venue to further explore the fundamental differences in foreign policy and the war in Iraq that was briefly highlighted in the historical exchange at the presidential debate in Columbia, South Carolina.
FreedomFest 2007 is scheduled for July 5 – 7, 2007 at Bally’s Las Vegas. With already close to 1000 registered attendees from across the United States and C-SPAN coverage at past events, we feel this event provides the perfect location and opportunity to present both sides of the American foreign policy debate.
Both candidates are friends of freedom but with very different views on how to protect and defend the United States. Congressman Paul is already a featured speaker at this event and Mayor Giuliani accepted an invitation as a keynote speaker at one of our past events with a major free-market organization. We propose a one hour debate format on Saturday evening and hope both GOP candidates will accept this unique opportunity to expand on their foreign policy views and the discussion on how to best defend liberty and the United States in this post 9/11 environment."
Gambling911.com has learned that FreedomFest was anticipating an acceptance from Ron Paul by the end of this past week though no official confirmation has been given.
Ron Paul's campaign gained momentum this past week when Gambling911 disclosed that Paul's odds to win the 2008 Presidential election had been slashed dramatically from 200 to 1 to 15 to 1 in only a matter of weeks. (see political betting odds) Ron Paul's odds remained at 15 to 1 heading into Monday.
But it is Rudy Giuliani who remains the big favorite at 3 to 1 odds, only slightly behind Hillary Clinton at 2 to 1 odds.
Hillary Clinton lost some ground from oddsmakers last month after establishing a firm even favorite status.
Our piece on Ron Paul this past week generated more traffic than any other article on the Gambling911.com website including the extensive and heavily read coverage of A-Rod and his blonde mystery woman.
