Ron Paul Supporters Force Odds to be Slashed FurtherbetED.com had been offering odds on Republican Ron Paul to become the next US President at +2500 only two days ago. Today, betED.com has slashed his odds down to +1000. (see betED.com website here)
"That's a $1000 payout for every $100 bet should he win," explains Gambling911.com Senior Editor, Payton O'Brien.
The Gambling911.com website offered its 2008 US Presidential Odds Watch the other day, pointing out that betED.com's political odds were so far off from those of competing bookmakers sites.
"What we have here are people that truly believe Ron Paul will become the next President and they are willing to bet real money on this happening," explains O'Brien. "It's also a statement giving betED.com a piece of their mind."
Bodog Life slashed Ron Paul's odds from 17/1 to 14/1 during the same two day period.
Gambling911.com has been cautiously publishing Presidential betting odds listed at a handful of online gambling websites deemed "safe".
"betED.com is one such site, as is Bodog.com and Sportsbook.com, both of which are sponsors at Gambling911. We have also approved betting on Ron Paul at World Sports Exchange, a nonsponsor of the Gambling911.com website."
Gambling911 urges readers to exercise care in betting politics at other websites.
"We can't guarantee that XYZ Betting Site is solvent," O'Brien says. "Some fly by nights are also offering political betting odds."
O'Brien has requested readers to email us to get our opinions on gambling websites that may be offering Ron Paul and other Presidential betting odds.
