Ron Paul Clarifies Presidential Run: Wants March on Washington

"It's not over til it's over!" says US Presidential candidate Ron Paul.  "We do have to be very positive about what we have achieved this year, far more than I ever anticipated."

Paul, whose campaign fundraising was about to hit the $6 million mark, has scaled down his national campaign over the next few weeks in an effort to regain his Congressional seat at next month's primary.  He insisted the scaling back is only a temporary thing.

Ron Paul stated that the selection process for the Republican nominee cannot be made until the convention, which takes place this summer.

"Surprises do occur.  We don't know what will happen.  There may be a lot of information on the other two candidates that will alter this election completely and totally."

Ron Paul was currently listed with 100-1 odds of becoming the next US President.  There are many who believe that the long time Texas Congressman is one of the few Republicans who would be able to beat out either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama come Election Day.

"We are running a race to save the country," Paul insists.  "We need new supporters."

Ron Paul's support has extended all the way to Costa Rica, a domicile for thousands of American expatriates.  A group of online gambling executives are in the process of planning a rally for Paul over the coming months.  Ron Paul has acknowledged his support is global and this is also verified through Gambling911.com traffic stats.

"We cannot even vote in the Election," said one gaming operator, "Yet you don't see our support for Ron Paul dwindling."

Paul continues on in his message to supporters:

"Our message is winning.  It's not just about me."

In fact there are some reports that Ron Paul picked up more delegates than the other two Republican candidates during this past weekend's Washington caucus where the final vote percentage was within 5 points of John McCain and Mike Huckabee.

Paul has also suggested a "grand march on Washington" that will gain media attention.  His supporters claim this is a great idea.  Such a march could also influence nominees come later this year, he said.
