PITCHING MATCHUP: Rockies RH Peter Lambert (NR) vs. Cubs LH Jose Quintana (4-4, 3.78)

Lambert is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque and make his major-league debut in order to allow Jon Gray more time to recover from a blister. The 22-year-old Lambert was selected by Colorado in the second round of the 2015 draft. He has made 11 starts for the Isotopes this season, going 2-2 with a 5.07 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 60 1/3 innings.

Quintana worked only four innings in St. Louis on Saturday due to a lengthy rain delay and did not factor in the decision after giving up two runs and four hits while registering six strikeouts. The 30-year-old Colombian is winless in five turns since defeating the Cardinals on May 5 but has served up only three home runs over 27 frames during the drought. Quintana has yet to lose to Colorado in his career, going 2-0 with a 4.58 ERA in three starts.
