Favored
Red Sox Team Fans Don Blonde Babe Masks for A-Rod
You knew those rabid
Red Sox fans weren't going to let A-Rod off that
easy. A bunch of fans arrived at Fenway Park
in "blond babe" masks to bash the married Bomber for
his off-field antics with his stripper gal pal,
Joslyn Noel Morse.
A-Rod was
photographed last Sunday night entering a Toronto
strip club with Morse.
The Boston Red
Sox are now a big +220 or 2 to 1 favorite to win the
American League pennant, well ahead of the last
place New York Yankees. (see
Bet on Major League
Baseball Here).
But it in the end
it was Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees who walked off
with a victory.
One game after Alex
Rodriguez offended some baseball purists by
distracting a fielder during a popup, the Yankees
built on that victory by beating the Red Sox 9-5 on
Friday and climbing out of the AL East cellar. No
longer tied for last with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays,
New York still trails Boston by 121/2 games.

"I think we need to
be a little more fiery," said New York manager Joe
Torre, who was ejected for arguing a caught stealing
in the fifth and was joined by reliever Scott
Proctor after his errant pitch in the ninth -- the
fifth hit batter of the game -- cleared the benches
and bullpens.
"I think we showed fight tonight. We need to assert
ourselves ... just get that determination back,"
Torre said. "I hope we can build on this because
we're good. We're much better than we've been
playing, but obviously the results haven't shown."
Outside the stadium, a group from Boston's WBCN
radio demonstrated just how fiery they could be.
The group donned women's blond wigs and circled the
stadium holding up posters that read, "I'm with
A-Rod" and showed the silhouette of a pole dancer.
"We want everyone to know we're part of the honest
wives' club," said Chris Rucker, 29, the promotional
director for the station. "That's they way that we
want to keep it around here."
Inside, fans were
seen en masse wearing plastic masks depicting a
pale-faced, blond-haired woman - mocking his
off-the-field companion Joslyn Noel Morse.
Jim Phipps of Wakefield, Mass., brought the masks -
33 leftovers from a birthday party - and passed them
out to people in his section.
"I was watching 'Good Morning America' and they
showed a picture from The Post of A-Rod and I said,
'Hey, that girl looks like that mask - and bingo!'"
Rodriguez's wife Cynthia made the trip to Beantown
with her husband. The two are staying at the
Ritz-Carlton along with a few other Yankees,
including Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte and Mariano
Rivera.
