The annual accolade, which will be announced Wednesday by the iconic American weekly news magazine, was first awarded in 1927. The last two years, not one person but groups of people (The Silence Breakers in 2017, The Guardians in 2018), have be named Person of the Year.
 
Possibly because of that trend, oddsmakers at the cyber-gaming site BetOnline.ag have made another group the favorite in 2019. The Hong Kong Protestors have the lowest odds of all the options on the board at 2/1.

Greta Thunberg, perhaps the most notable global warming activist, has the second-best odds to win at 5/1.
 
President Trump and Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, are tied for third with identical 6/1 odds.
 
Boris Johnson, Bernie Sanders, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un and Nancy Pelosi are also on the list.
 
Mark Zuckerberg has the worst odds on the board at 100/1.
