Poker: The FHM Tour in Norway with Jenny Woo

I got back to Miami from Norway Sunday night.  I apologize that none of you were able to read about my Friday and Saturday night escapades.  Jenny has been a very busy girl and now a very sick one.  Yes I said sick...I’ve seem to have caught "reindeer flu" during this wonderful trip.  I’ve been taking shots of Robitussin as if it were shots of tequila, so if I sound a little off that’s the reason why. 

I'm not as bad as Julia Wild of Purple-Lounge.com who I understand was rushed to intensive care the other night with a 110 degree fever, swollen hives, convulsions, spitting up that Exorcist green pea soup and life threatening dehydration.  But I'm not here to depress y'all so let's get to discussing my Norway adventure, shall we?

My sickness is probably a combination of the lack of sleep and the poor circulation in the plane.  Now all of you that are saying that it was probably the alcohol.  Well...NO!!  I refuse to blame it on the alcohol.  Reason being,
the alcohol was only twenty percent proof.  WTF!!!  I can’t drink twenty
percent proof..  I need at least eighty dammit!!  Ok, lets start from the
beginning.

I ended up sleeping most of the day on Friday.  Why you ask?  Especially if
the alcohol was only twenty percent proof.  Well I kind of.....sort of....ok
I did raid the mini bar when I got back to the hotel.  But I was working on
my Thursday night article and I needed some fuel to get it out to all of you
wonderful people. 

Anyway, I finally woke up to get ready to meet the Purple-Lounge and FHM
crew in front of the FHM office.  Don’t worry I got there on time.  We then
embarked on a two hour chartered bus ride to Frederikstadt.  I wasn’t able
to enjoy the beautiful scenery seeing that I was partially hung over from my
mini bar raid.  I did however take a power nap and boy let Jenny tell you
that was exactly what the doctor ordered.  I woke up revived and ready to
see what these cute Norway boys had under there belt.  No not their packages but their poker skills seeing that your very own Jenny was going to play in this tournament.

Simon “ACES” Trumper, Purple-Lounge Sponsored Player, decided to give me a crash course in poker.   He thought I was going to be a lost cause after
spending five minutes with me.  But honestly I learned a few things from
this pro. 

The tournament started a little after 8pm and Jenny was getting a little
nervous.  It didn’t help that they sat two cuties at my table.  What were
they thinking?  I didn’t play all that well, but I wasn’t the first person
out either.  I actually was the tenth or eleventh person out with winning
only one hand.  I know, I know, Jenny will keep practicing.

After the tournament, everyone was able to relax and enjoy themselves. 
FHM/Purple-Lounger.com Poker Tour provided some awesome entertainment that included Thoresen Hværsaagod-Takkskalduha doing his comedy act (in which he ended up getting whipped by a drunken Norwegian and his belt), Aylar performing her hit song “Boys, Boys, Boys” and some hot Cheerleaders doing some amazing stunts.  How'd you like that trick with my key board, typing Norwegian a la "Hværsaagod". 

There were some not so planned entertainment as well which included a few
drunken and somewhat annoying guys.  One in which proceeded to do a strip
tease for the club audience.

The night was a fun, but a tiring one.  After another two hour bus ride back
to the hotel, I was a tired Jenny.  But my work wasn’t done yet.  I needed
to get some pictures from the awesome photographer, Gaute “George” Ulvik
Haugan, that was hired to cover the event. You can also check out some of
his work at FHM.NO.com  It took about an hour to get the pictures downloaded to Jenny’s computer, but well worth it. 

At that point it was almost 5am and I definitely needed some sleep.  I made
Bjorn promise to take me sightseeing that morning in which Jenny did wake up and did just that.
