Poker: Hottest seats won!
Purple Lounge players win seats in the Norwegian FHM/Purple-Lounge.com
Poker Tour
The
countdown has begun. Set to sizzle through the
summer months of August and September, the
qualifying tournaments for the Norwegian FHM/Purple
Lounge Poker Tour started in earnest this month with
sponsor Purple Lounge offering ten opportunities to
win a free seat on the tour.
Gambling911.com's own Jenny Woo (ADT kicking in top
left) has already begun packing for the big Norway
tour. We'll have coverage from Norway with
Jenny, Julia (Purple-Lounge.com)
and Bjorn Norbo (Jenny's guide to ensure she doesn't
get lost in Oslo like she did in Amersterdam last
year).
The
freeroll tournaments, held at 20:30 BST, spanned
over a period of four weeks giving players the
option to choose in which tour stop they wanted to
play. From Bergen to Stavenger, they simply entered
the appropriate freeroll tournament and won their
seat at that tournament.
The
tour has generated a great deal of interest in
recent weeks in both the UK and in the Norwegian
market, with coverage by TV2 and all the popular
print magazines. This is in no small part due to the
uniqueness of the event itself.
More than just your average tournament, The
Norwegian Purple Lounge/FHM Poker Tour has launched
itself onto the circuit with a dazzling extravaganza
of entertainment events from live shows to themed
activities. What’s more, the all girl, FHM glamour
model card-dealing team, led by feisty Nordic beauty
Aylar, have lent an irresistible twist to the
dealing of cards.
“This
is certainly a tremendous addition to the poker tour
circuit, with Purple-Lounge.com again raising the
bar in glamour and fame stakes of poker,” purred
cyber siren and spokesperson for Purple Lounge,
Tara. “Confirmed qualifiers for the event included
poker titans such as Jenny Woo, and an extremely
talented body of worldwide Purple Lounge players all
playing to win this new title. We are very
excited.”
Tour stops include Frederikstad. Lillehammer,
Kristiansand, Sandefjord, Tonsberg, Stravenger,
Haugeund, Bergen, Trondheim, and Oslo, where the
final will take place on the 15th of
September.
