The Steelers come off an 8-8 season that was preceded by the team's first Super Bowl title in 26 years.  They now have a new head coach:  Mike Tomlin.

Here were some early observations made by Fox Sports:

--QB Ben Roethlisberger has looked like his old self through the first week of camp. In a Friday night practice, he threw three touchdown passes. "He knows what he's doing right now," coordinator Bruce Arians said. "He's moving our people with his eyes right now."
--RB John Kuhn is trying to make the club as an all-everything back. He was elevated from the practice squad late last year. He's competing as a RB, FB and third-down back, and is the only viable fullback behind starter Dan Kreider.

--WR Cedrick Wilson was running at his old spot as the starting split end with Santonio Holmes out through the first week and looked good doing so. Wilson likely will settle in as the No. 3 man.

--LB James Harrison not only moves into Joey Porter's old spot as the starter on the right side, he's also on most special teams -- punt, kickoff, punt return and kickoff return.

--CB Ike Taylor, who lost his starting job late last season, has been reinstalled as a starter and no one's pressing him this summer.
