It was not a very happy birthday for actor Ashton Kutcher, but rather a "hepi" birthday for everyone else who attended, including Oscar nominee Javier Bardem. Nominated for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" and the huge favorite to win at Bookmaker.com, Bardem reportedly was exposed to the Hepatitis A viral infection this week during the 30th birthday party for Kutcher. The good news is that none of the celebrities in attendance were the "infectors" so to speak, thus, it is not believed that at press time any one of them had the Hepatitis virus. Still, health officials urged anyone in attendance to seek medical attention immediately, including Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow. The alert was sounded after a barman at the New York club venue was found to have the highly contagious liver disease. Hepatitis A is a viral infection which causes loss of appetite, vomiting, fever, diarrhoea and jaundice. It lives in feaces and can be spread if an infected person serves food or drink, which presumably is what this individual had been doing. Socialista the West Village hotspot where Demi, 45, hosted the party last night said no other cases of the bug had been reported.
A New York health official said: Any patron is considered to be at risk and needs a preventative vaccine as soon as possible.
