This past week, Google released its new Search Console Insights.

The goal of Search Console Insights is to help webmasters and content providers improve content. It does so by making it easy for you, whether you're a blogger or a professional SEO, to get an overview and helpful insights on how your content is performing.

Search Console Insights can combine data from both Search Console and Google Analytics and help answer questions such as:•

  • Which of your content performs best?
  • How is your new content performing?
  • What do people search for on Google before they visit your content?

With sports betting now legalized in the US, wagering firms have entered the media space in order to help boost their search rankings.  Smaller affiliates will compete with much larger companies, including the actual operators such as Draftkings, FanDuel and TwinSpires, all of which are now investing heavily in SEO-focused content.

Andrew Hutchinson of SocialMediaToday explains one of the key benefits of the new content performance monitoring aspect:

That could be particularly helpful for not only identifying key audience trends to tap into, but also to guide your promotional efforts. You could, for example, look to boost certain high-performing posts with paid campaigns, while knowing the key search terms for your site, in real-time, can further inform your thinking about strategic approaches, and ensure you're capitalizing on opportunities.

Search Console Insights can be accessed via a link at the top of the Overview page in Google Search Console.  It is also accessible via the Google iOS app.
