research on Omaha Poker Strategy, stumbled upon
this useful site. Translation: I
don't know squat about Omaha Poker Strategy so I
will stoop to pulling up information from another
worthy website and provide you with all the Omaha
Poker strategy from PlayingWinningPoker.com.
Well, actually, I'd
encourage you to visit them.
You know what
though, my ADT is getting out of control and I
recently made some new MySpace friends, the boys
from
WickedChopsPoker.com and come to find out
that 1/3 of the three entities that put this site
together are 1/2 Italian. I guess that makes
them "half breeds"?
Pure breeds like
Jenny, who is only half Korean and half Redneck,
loves her math. But I'm not Italian and I too
was rooting for the French to win the World Cup
after the way
the "Italians flopped and whined and cried so
consistently in faux-pain". WickedChopsPoker
words, not mine.
And what the hell
is a WickedChopsPoker?
Two things I do know:
I'll be meeting my new friends in Vegas during the
WSOP and, they kiss Kelvin Ayre's (Bodog.com CEO)
worse than we do here at Gambling911.com. WTF?
I bet the 1/3 of the WickedChopPoker boys who is 1/2
Italian even asked Kelvin to **** *****. But
we won't even go there! See you in Vegas boys!

Ok, which one is
Wicked. Snake looks like this hot neighbor boy
of mine from Pensacola. Addict looks like the
type of guy that bypasses the bed and gets straight
to the wall and look at cutie pie Chops....Aww what
a sweetie.
God I hope parents
aren't introducing their young em's to poker via
this page for the very first time. Senator Jon
Kyl might have a very strong argument if they are.
Now onto Omaha
Poker strategy as Jenny's mind once again begins to
wander all over the place.
Nut low! That's
what I always tell my boyfriends. In Omaha
Poker, it means Best possible low.
According to
PlayWinningPoker.com:
First, you must remember the two cards from your
hand, three from the board rule. A board like 87532
might make 2367 somewhat hard to read but you read
your low hand simply by taking the lowest card
combination to be found using three cards from the
board and two from your hand.
But what is the
lowest? What about when your cards are paired?

Omaha is a game of nut hands (Ok, I could use a
thick juicy steak about now), so as hands unfold,
practice reading what the nut low hand is. Then
start thinking of your low hand in relation to the
nut low. It's not important to know how low your low
is, what matters is how low your low is in
comparison to the nut low.
Ok, I feel like I'm
reviewing a really bad porn flick here.
According to PlayWinningPoker.com, Omaha is
mathematically simplistic.
If you play only
good starting hands and your opponents see fit to
play almost every hand, and don't care whether they
play for one bet or for four, soon the math of that
will work in your favor. Omaha is the best game to
make money, especially when you have a small
bankroll. $3/6 Omaha requires only about half the
bankroll of $3/6 Holdem, but your hourly win rate
should be higher.
Bad players have virtually no chance to beat
Omaha over any meaningful period of time, but they
can win big pots, and have really good sessions.
