Odds to win the 2007 Super Bowl (updated)

Updated odds to win the 2007 Super Bowl have been released heading into Week 5 of the regular NFL season and the second week of October.  Odds to win the AFC Championship, the NFC Championship and each of the other divisions have been posted as well.  And oh how things have changed.

First, Odds to win the 2007 Super Bowl.

Entering the regular 2006 NFL season, there weren't a whole lot of surprises as to which teams had the shortest odds of winning the 2007 Super Bowl.  The Indianapolis Colts of course were the favorite with payout odds of $550 for every $100 bet or +550 pretty much across the board at most online sportsbooks.  It is interesting to point out, however, that things haven't changed much even with the Colts looking as impressive as ever.  PinnacleSports.com still offered Indianapolis with +510 odds entering Week 5 of the regular 2006 NFL season (bet $100 to win $510). 

Other teams listed among the top 5 to win the 2007 Super Bowl early in the season were the New England Patriots at +828 or bet $100 to win $828.  New England had odds of +914 as of October 8, 2007, again, not a huge change.  The good news is you can bet a $100 on New England to win the 2007 Super Bowl and walk off with $900 if they do at PinnacleSports.com (see website here).

The Dallas Cowboys odds to win the 2007 Super Bowl were listed at +814 early on and now pay just over $1600 on a $100 bet. 

The Carolina Panthers have fallen out of grace somewhat from around +1000 early odds to +1570 now (a $100 bet would pay out $1570).  This is a team that seemed to be getting its act together prior to Week 5 so the value may be especially good as of press time October 8.

The Chicago Bears initially were listed with odds of +2266 or a payout of $2266 for every $100 bet should they win the 2007 Super Bowl.  Now they had odds of +500.

Baltimore had early odds of +4548 to win the 2007 Super Bowl.  Still some excellent value here at +1286.
