Odds on the Washington
Nationals Winning The 2005 World Series
Odds on the
Washington Nationals winning the 2005 World Series are
not as far fetched now as they were at the start of the
season considering the Nationals hold one of the best
records
Prior to the start of this
season, The Washington Nationals
were listed with odds of 125 to 1 to win the 2005
National League Conference Series and 250 to 1 winning
the 2005 World Series. These are incredible pay
out odds considering the Nationals performance of late.
Guess what? The
Washington Nationals had the second best record in the
National League going into June and they still have
the second best record in the National League ending
the month of July.
If someone were
to have placed $100 on the Nationals to win the NLCS
early on in the season and they won the title, this
would translate into a $12,500 windfall. Should
they somehow take the 2005 World Series, we are looking
at a $25,000. Add a few hundred dollars and you
see how this can accumulate.
As of June 12, 2005,
MyBookie.com (see web site
here) listed the
Washington Nationals at +6000 to win the 2005 World
Series. Today,
MyBookie.com has the
Washington Nationals listed at +2000 or a $100 bet pays
$2000.
