Odds
on the 2008 Academy
Awards
The 2008 Academy
Awards, set to air
February 24th, are
already causing
quite the buzz with
its selections and,
more importantly,
its rejections.
In the past, it
seemed as though the
Oscars have modeled
their selections
after the Golden
Globes, but the 80th
ceremony is
something of the
contrary. Hollywood
Hotshots such as
Keira Knightley was
snubbed for
Atonement, Tim
Burton for Sweeney
Todd: The Demon
Barber of Fleet
Street and Sean Penn
for Into the Wild.
With opinions at a
high for the
Academy’s right and
wrong nominee
admissions, the
question of who is
walking away with
the little, gold
statue remains.
