Neteller Happy Ending as Monies Start ArrivingUS Online poker players and sports bettors reported bank wires appearing in their accounts throughout the day Tuesday from Neteller, the online payment solution.
Neteller had held players funds since January following the arrests of its co-founders.
"I'm a little shocked that it came so quickly," said one poster on the popular TwoPlusTwo Poker Forum.
For many individuals the return of funds has been bittersweet. For more than 6 months now, customers have agonized waiting and wondering if they would ever see their money again. Neteller for its part had been unresponsive to customer concerns.
The ending though was a happy one compared to the situation with BetonSports. That company closed last July following the arrests of several former principals in that company and its current CEO at the time, David Carruthers. BetonSports has shown no inkling of paying back monies to customers.
Neteller owes several million dollars to US customers. The company stopped conducting business in the US and Canada in recent months.
