NFL Week 2 Results: Bookies Make Out BigThe NFL Week 2 results are in and the bookies made out really big thanks to three of the most bet on teams losing. Actually, the three most bet on teams were pummeled this week.
#1: Bengals(Cincinnati) Point Spread
#2: Saints(NewOrleans) Point Spread
#3: Colts(Indianapolis) Point Spread
Sure, the Colts won outright....but by only two points, failing to cover. That's a win for the Tennessee Titans when it comes to the gambling world.
Other big wins for the bookies early on included the San Francisco 49er's surprise defeat on the road against the Rams and the Houston Texans beating Carolina on the road and starting the season 2-0.
Nearly 70% of the betting action was on the Panthers and 70% of the action on the Rams as well.
The bookies also won on Jacksonville with close to 65% of the action on the Jaguars but they failed to cover against Atlanta winning by only 6 points on a 10 point spread.
The betting public only won with Green Bay and Pittsburgh. But even though the Packers were one of the most bet on teams, the Giants got enough action as well to balance this one out.
Bottom line, it was a great first half of the day for the bookies.
