NFL Team Power Rankings 2007 Week 11

Here are your NFL team power rankings 2007 Week 11 with an added bonus: the future betting odds value for each of the top 10 teams ranked.  Let's see what changes, if any, have occurred this week.

1. New England Patriots - No surprises here.  The Patriots are coming off a bye week after having beaten the Colts the prior week during the final minutes.  With an undefeated record, the Patriots are a no-brainer to rank number one in the 2007 Week 11 NFL power rankings.  There is some great news, however, as the Patriots suddenly pay only slightly under even odds at -150 (see BetUS.com).

2. Indianapolis Colts - Both games they recently lost were games they could easily have won.  The Colts came all the way back in the San Diego rain on Sunday night, only for Adam Vinatieri to miss a 29-yard chip shot with less than two minutes remaining.  This is still the second, and quite possibly the first, team to beat in the league.  And keep in mind they have big time injuries.  Imagine a healthy Colts team!  The great news here is that because of their last two losses, see BetUS.com lists them with +600 odds to win the 2008 Super Bowl, the best odds for Indianapolis yet.   A $100 bet would pay $600.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers - In his weekly video report exclusive to ESPN.com, Bill Parcells says Pittsburgh has enough firepower to compete with anyone in the league.  At +900 odds or a $100 bet pays $900 to win the Super Bowl, there is terrific value here.

4.  Dallas Cowboys - This team looks better and better with each passing week and quarterback Tony Romo showed Eli Manning can't hold a candle to him.  This could very well be the NFC team going to the 2008 Super Bowl, and with +500 odds to do so, there is terrific value to be had for sure.

5.  Green Bay Packers - As much as has been said about Brett Favre in the press, how phenomenal he has been this season and all the records being broken, nobody seems to be giving the Packers a chance to excel in the post season.  The oddsmakers sure aren't.  They list Green Bay with +1200 odds to win the Super Bowl even though there is a very strong possibility they can end up in the big game.  Once there, Favre can play with the best of them....including Tom Brady and Payton Manning.  Great odds here  Updated NFC Championship betting odds are anticipated shortly.  Green Bay has even fallen from #3 to #5 in our NFL team power rankings for 2007 Week 11, even though they have not lost a step since that time period.  It's just that two other teams are proving more formidable, at least by perception.

6.  Tennessee Titans - They remain at #6 even after a loss this past week.  This is a team that could have been tied with Indianapolis at the top of the division.  Division odds had been great even up until last weekend and we expect perhaps better payout odds when the futures open at Bookmaker.com

7.  New York Giants - Following a six game winning streak against teams that may not necessarily impress, New York was put to the test and failed.  Still in good shape for an NFC Wild Card spot, New York takes on the surprising Lions in a game between two potential playoff teams this weekend.

8. Cleveland Browns - The Browns have been playing good and they looked better than the best of them even in their loss against Pittsburgh Sunday on the road.  Definitely a team we will be keeping our eyes on the remaining portion of this season.  Too bad they have Pittsburgh in their division.  The future odds offer great payout potential but seem out of reach at this time.

9.  Detroit Lions - Inconsistent but with a 6-3 record (who would have thunk it?).  Why they lost against the Cardinals after going three straight is anybody's guess.  This is still a good team.  Make no mistake about it.

10. Buffalo Bills - While the win was yet another close one against the worst team in the league (the Miami Dolphins on the road), a win is a win and the Bills are finding ways to win.  Some say they can do it at home against the Patriots this weekend.  We shall see.  The Bills, our favorite team to bet on right now - even though we went with Miami this weekend - are now sporting a 5-4 record.
