NFL Super Bowl Odds: Giants vs. Patriots (Updated)

NFL Super Bowl odds are constantly being updated on the Giants vs. Patriots as we get closer to the big game.   You can get the latest odds here as always.

Nearly every online sportsbook has this one at Patriots -12.  The only variance we have been seeing is Bodog at least where the spread is concerned.  The real difference in the odds will occur with those popular proposition bets and there is also great value to be found with the Giants money lines.

For example, BetUS.com offered one of the best money lines out there.  They had the Giants at +375 to win outright, which would translate into a $375 payout for every $100 bet.   This is where you find great value as some online sportsbooks were offering the Giants at a +320 or even lower money line and by betting at BetUS.com you'll be making $55 more for every $100 bet should New York win the 2008 Super Bowl.

It should be noted that nearly 75% of the public was betting the New York spread.

We are actually somewhat surprised the NFL Super Bowl odds haven't gone down to -10 1/2 anywhere.  Despite the heavy one-sided action on the Giants side, the lowest this line has gone is Patriots -11.

As always, the best bets for any NFL Super Bowl are on the propositions and there are literally hundreds of them, okay maybe thousands.

"Looking through betting Web sites I have found more than 2,000 different ``proposition bets,'' the name bookmakers give to markets that are about what happens around the game rather than on the result.

"While the point-spread and total-points markets have been analyzed for hundreds of hours by top betting experts, a lot of the more obscure bets have been thought up by a junior staffer told to come up with some eye-catching odds that might generate publicity. By picking out a few markets, you can find some really good value wagers."

Hence the reason you will find so many different lines on these prop bets.  Always shop for the best value.  Do not settle for the lowest number available (i.e. if you can find a prop line of +200 one place, don't settle for the +130 that is offered elsewhere).  NFL Super Bowl odds are like clothes.  Why would you pay $30 more for a pair of Guess Jeans when you can get them cheaper elsewhere?  Not to mention the fact that a lot of these online sportsbooks are offering enticing signup bonuses.
