Week 4 of the 2019 NFL regular season marks the one-quarter point. And with all the injuries we’ve seen around the league it’s hard to determine just how every team measures up. It’s also time for our weekly overreaction. That comes from Giants fans and Eli Manning haters. Good for Daniel Jones to step in, have a fantastic day, and more importantly get the G-Men a much needed victory. But don’t anoint him just yet. Let’s wait and see how things play out. You can be sure that Dave Gettleman is having a good chuckle about what transpired.

Anyway, let’s move ahead to the purpose of this article, and that’s to help you bolster your account at offshore sportsbooks. Following the money paid off last week with wise guys hitting on two of the three games we followed. They’ve had a good run in the early part of the season and if you followed our lead you’d have a good chunk of change in your account to cover the rest of the season.

Researching Oakland’s miseries in the Eastern Time Zone paid off. Backing the Vikings at -9 was a profitable wager when they beat the Raiders, 34-14. And what can we say about the Dolphins except ouch. The line spiked six points and Dallas was still able to cover the 22-point closing number. The Bills denied a sharp sweep by failing to cover the 5.5-point spread in their 21-17 win.

Let’s take a look at some games on the NFL Week 4 schedule where wise guys have impacted the line. And remember, BookMaker will have spreads and totals for every NFL matchup during the 2019 season. Visit BookMaker.eu when you’re ready to throw down on your favorite NFL team.

NFL Week 4 Wise Guy Picks

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers ( -4.5, 45.5 )

Wise guys not only influence the spread in NFL games, their actions can also impact the total. When a number goes against the public it’s a sign that sharp action is working. The over/under for Thursday night’s game opened at 48 with a majority of the early action backing the over. Instead of spiking, the number dropped to its current 45.5. The spread has also moved, but in a more traditional way. With over 60 percent of the public backing the Packers, they went from -3 on the line to -4.5.

If Philadelphia receivers continue dropping passes like they did last week, the Eagles will be lucky to score. And they are likely to be without DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery, who are nursing injuries. Meanwhile, Green Bay’s defense, which ranks second in points allowed, has carried the team to a 3-0 record

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens ( -7, 46 )

The Browns’ hype train is losing passengers fast. That could all change this week with a win over AFC North rival Baltimore. Oddsmakers pegged the Ravens as a 5-point favorite on the opening line and nearly 60 percent of the early action backed the home team. Books will try their hardest to stay on or not cross over a key number. We saw the spread jump to -7, which is a key number. The play wouldn’t push the line to a significant point, which means wise guys are backing the Ravens.

It’s easy to see the Ravens as the favorite. Lamar Jackson has looked much better than Baker Mayfield and the jury is still out on whether or not Freddie Kitchens should be a NFL head coach. Cleveland’s lack of discipline is troubling and the offensive line is a mess. Still, there is as much talent on the Browns roster as there’s been in some time and reversing a trend that’s seen them go 1-6 in their last seven games against Baltimore is going to be a chore.

Seattle Seahawks ( -5.5, 48 ) at Arizona Cardinals

We usually don’t see large spreads – unless the Miami Dolphins are involved – or significant movement in either the line or total on the NFL odds. There are factors such as injuries or weather that would necessitate a move, but with all variables positive it just doesn’t happen that often. That’s why a 2-point swing in the line makes me wonder why.

Seattle opened as 3.5-point chalk and received a majority of the early play. Still, that’s not enough to force the line to -5.5. Two games into the Kliff Kingsbury era and we’re still waiting for the explosive offense to show up. I guess have a dynamic athlete like Kyler Murray doesn’t help if the line can’t block. That’s why they call it a team. Seattle gifted a win to the Saints last week and wise guys expect a cleaner performance against a weaker team.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
