MyBookie Exits New Jersey, New York and Nevada Market

(Septmber 18, 2019) - MyBookie.ag has followed the lead of Gambling911.com partner books by exiting the New Jersey market, effective immediately Wednesday September 18, 2019.

Gambling911.com and other media partners have been instrumental in encouraging this move.  It was, afterall, NJ that won a Supreme Court ruling that ushered in the legalization of sports betting nationwide in the US.

MyBookie's move out of the Nevada market is a bit of a surprise, considering the offshore books and those licensed statewide have co-existed happily for a number of years now.

New York is interesting in that Bovada recently re-entered that market after a couple years absence brought on by aggressive Attorney Generals (Elliott Spitzer in particular where it applied to the offshore books and later Eric Schneiderman and his war against daily fantasy sports giants Draftkings and FanDuel).  The exit by Bovada was likely more a result of federal activity out of the Southern District (victims included Full Tilt Poker nad PokerStars).

Eliminating these states won't hurt much.  MyBookie is relatively new on the sports betting scene.  They rely heavily on radio ads in the Southeast and get killer business out of California, which won't be legalizing sports betting any time soon.

Affiliate partners of the site were advised of the move Wednesday afternoon:

Thank you for your continued support of our brands. This season is off to a exciting start and we are looking forward to a successful year for all of us.

I just want to take a minute of your time to let you know that effective this evening we will no longer be accepting deposits from customers residing in the states of New York, New Jersey or Nevada. This policy change will apply to all brands in the WebPartners suite. If you have any questions, or need any further information about this update, or anything else at all, please don’t hesitate to contact your affiliate manager **** at your convenience.

Best regards,
