Miss Universe Pageant Shocker: Greece, Philippines Don't Make CutOne of the biggest shocks of the 2007 Miss Universe Pageant came when it was revealed that Miss Greece - a big favorite - failed to make the top 15 cut. Miss Philippines with slightly longer odds also did not make the cut.
"Miss Greece was ranked among the top three by the oddsmakers at BetUS.com," disclosed Gambling911.com Senior Editor Payton O'Brien. "Miss Philippines ranked among the top 15."
Miss USA did make the cut along with big favorites Venezuela and Brazil.
Some delegates with rather big payout odds also got in. Miss Denmark would pay $2700 on a $100 bet. Miss Ukraine had the longest odds of the women selected to the final 15 with a payout potential of $3200 for every $100 bet. Miss Thailand also promised a hefty $2700 payout on every $100 bet.
