Miss USA Fall a Big Hit

The fall taken by Miss USA Rachel Smith was among the biggest hits of this week according to Web traffic surveys.

The video clip, which shows Miss USA Rachel Smith slipping during the evening gown competition at Monday's Miss Universe pageant in Mexico City, is one of the week's most popular videos.   By 3 pm yesterday afternoon the video had over 300,000 hits.

Miss USA's fall also made headlines on Gambling911.com, the first website to cover her disastrous moment during live updates Monday night. Traffic to the site exploded Monday evening throughout all day Tuesday making it one of the most trafficked day in Gambling911.com's six year history.

The Miss Universe contest was won by Miss Japan Riyo Mori, a 20-year-old dancer.

Smith, who was also booed by the Mexican audience during the interview stage of the competition, came fourth.

Some would argue that the booing of Miss USA during the interview stage was even more enjoyable than the fall itself.  It did not appear as if Rachel Smith was injured by either.  This is one Miss Universe delegate who is probably happy to be home.  Smith received a cold reception throughout her stay in Mexico thanks mostly to questionable US policy concerning immigration and the US Mexico border.
