The polls may suggest that Barack Obama is dramatically catching up to Hillary Clinton in the Michigan Presidential primaries, but the online oddsmakers are yet to budge with either party. On the Democratic side of things, Clinton continues to be listed as the huge -1600 favorite while Obama was at +750 odds (for a $750 payout with every $100 bet). John Edwards was a huge +4000 longshot. Mitt Romney was listed with even odds among Republicans while John McCain was still slightly favored at -140. Mike Huckabee had odds of +400. Rudy Giuliani was at +2000. Ron Paul was at +2500 and Fred Thompson was a long shot to win with +5000 odds. A Washington Post Poll shows major movement among frontrunners. On the Republican side, John McCain has surged to 28% percent, all but doubling former frontrunner Rudy Giuliani who is now at 15% percent. John McCain said, "I take these positions after years of experience because I believe it's best for the Country and the American people."
Among democrats
Hillary Clinton has
slipped: 42% percent
to barrack Obama's
37% percent. The
poll was taken
before a firestorm
over the Clinton's
and race. Former
president Bill
Clinton, accused of
a racist comment
about Obama had the
Senator defending
her own comment that
some say
disrespected dr.
Martin Luther King.
She blames Obama's
campaign for
unfairly using it
against her. You can bet on this event here at BetUS.com ---- Christopher Costigan, Gambling911.com Publisher CCostigan@CostiganMedia.com Originally published January 14, 2008 2:53 pm EST
