Mars is the New Moon: Odds to Bet On

NASA has a new goal in mind and it’s out of this world. Recent reports indicate that NASA plans on having an American on Mars by 2037, 80 years after the start of the Space Age.

As we all know from such classic movies as Demolition Man and Back to the Future II, and books such as George Orwell’s 1984, the future does not always pan out the way it is predicted. Now the mission has a timeline, and the countdown begins.

BetUS.com, the largest, most respected sportsbook on the web, posted odds that heavily favor NASA to achieve their task at 50/1.

“If you look back, we have so much technology and it keeps evolving on a daily basis. You cannot even buy a cellular phone and not have it be obsolete within a year. ” stated Reed Richards of BetUS.com. “It’s incredible! I did book reports by going to the library and now kids click on a mouse and find a world of information from the Internet. In 30 years, we better be on Mars, or we did something wrong. ”
