The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams can score and they will have a better playing surface to perform on after the league shifted the game from Mexico City due to questionable grounds. With two of the top three offenses in the NFL going after it, the total hit the board at a record high 64.

Dare we say it’s a possible Super Bowl preview in mid-November? We’re not reaching when uttering those words since the Chiefs and Rams have been the best in the NFL all season. A rare matchup this late in the season between one-loss teams with both scoring more than 33 points per game has fans and bettors salivating over the possibilities. The Rams may have a slight advantage now that the game has been moved, giving them a true home field advantage. The Rams are a 3-point betting favorite on the NFL lines at BookMaker.eu.

Both clubs are more about offense than they are about defense, which is why the total opened at an all-time high of 64. The number has been wagered down since hitting the board, but it gives us a clear indication of where the oddsmakers expect this contest to go. If the teams just hit their scoring average the game would cash the over.

So with offense such a big part of both teams, that’s where we’re going to lean when looking at some prop bet plays. And you can’t talk about offense without mentioning Patrick Mahomes, who leads the NFL with 31 touchdown passes and 315 yards per game. He has multiple scoring passes in eight contests and has thrown four or more in a game five times. The Chiefs are second in scoring with 35.3 points per game.

The Rams have some big names on defense but the group has been average at best, ranking 14th in total defense and 13th in points allowed per game. And they’ve been hammered by some good quarterbacks the past few weeks with Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Russell Wilson all being able to navigate through the Rams. Brees had a particularly impressive game throwing for 346 yards and four touchdowns. Wilson didn’t have big numbers, but the Seahawks were able to run through the Rams.

And the Chiefs can do both. Kareem Hunt will get plenty of opportunities running the ball, opening the field for Mahomes to spread the ball to Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins. The numbers will be high, but take Mahomes to exceed his passing yardage total and throw for at least one touchdown.

Kelce leads the Chiefs in receptions, but Hill has the explosion to turn a routine play into a long gainer. Hill averages 16.2 yards per catch with nine touchdowns. Hill is my pick to score the game’s first touchdown while exceeding his total on all-purpose yards since he will have a chance to pad that number on kick returns.

The Rams get an unexpected home game after the move from Mexico City and that should benefit them. Their points per game are slightly higher at home, though not by much, but having the game in their backyard will be a boost. And they have Todd Gurley, who has been a beast this year. Gurley leads the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns, and with an additional 402 yards receiving, he leads the NFL by nearly 100 in yards from scrimmage. Gurley has a nose for the end zone having reached it at least once in every game this season. If he’s not pounding it in on the ground, he’s a favorite of Goff in the passing game. The Chiefs aren’t going to pitch a shutout and the Rams use Gurley in different packages when sniffing the goal line. You can count on the former Georgia product to have at least one end zone celebration on a prop bet at BookMaker.eu.
