MMA News: Bodog Fight Until 2014

Peter Karroll, President of Bodog Fight, Dispelled rumors Saturday evening that the MMA organization would be disbanding.

"We have big plans and we will be around through 2008, 2009, all the way to 2014," Karroll insisted.

Bodog Fight founder Calvin Ayre reiterated late Saturday night following an after party for his fighters in Vancouver.  The semi-inebriated Ayre told Sports911.com "This is my hobby.  I love the MMA fighting and we have big plans for the future."

Both Karroll and Ayre responded to rumors that Bodog Fight would be dismantling in the not-so-distant future.  The two diffused the rumors and expressed their respective commitment to the sport.  Ayre is still a billionaire who has not trouble paying for fighters.

Following another shot of Jägermeister, Sports911.com was able to get more information out of Ayre in regard to some very big name fighters who he simply said "they were working on".  One could not help but wonder if Bodog Fight could be actively pursuing the likes of Tito Ortiz and Fedor Emelianenko.  Ayre is a fan of both fighters.

This useful information comes on the heels of news that Ayre and other online gambling operators may soon be permitted to enter the United States once again.  Though there is nothing to suggest he is banned from entering the States, a handful of colleagues at online gambling establishments (Bodog's big business) have been detained in the US over this past year.

As for the shooting of Bodog Fight 7, which will air some time in October or November, Sports911.com was there and can honestly say there was not a single boring fight.

Sports911.com was scouting for fighters to sponsor for the next Bodog Fight pay per view event.
