A little more on the background on the fight:
Roger Gracie of the famed Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu family is coming to Vancouver to make his professional MMA debut. Even though he’s never stepped into the ring for a professional mixed martial arts event, Roger won the ADCC World Submission Wrestling Championship in 2005, taking his 88-98kg weight class, as well as the Open class. The ADCC is the Superbowl of the grappling world and not only did Roger win, he would be considered the tournament’s MVP.
The coming of the Gracie family to Vancouver: The city’s sporting fans will provide the atmosphere and the Gracie legend will mark Vancouver as one of the world’s elite MMA event destination cities, alongside the ranks of Tokyo and Las Vegas.
Roger is available for pre-fight interviews and we’re pleased to provide you this opportunity.
