Indianapolis Colts flex muscles with former cheerleader

Give me a "G".  Give me an "A".  Give me an "M".  Give me a "B", "L", "I", "N", "G", "9", "1", "1".  What does it spell?  Trouble if you are a former Colts cheerleader apparently.

There is nothing cheerful about the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleading squad these days.  A measly $50 pay check and the ability to flex one's muscles under the guise of the NFL.  The victim of this angst appears to be a very gifted writer by the name of Lisa Perry.

The Indianapolis Colts organization has sent a Cease and Desist letter to Gambling911.com and its former employee-turned-Gambling911-writer, Lisa Perry.

Ms. Perry, who proudly donned the Indy Colts cheerleader outfit for 5 seasons, was ordered not to have photographs of herself portrayed as a cheerleader appearing on the G911 site.

Nicole M. Duncan, Director of Community Relations/Marketing Communications for the Indianapolis Colts has taken things a step forward.

Any photos of yourself, other Colts Cheerleaders and/or reference to your employment with the Indianapolis Colts on the gambling911.com website must be removed immediately

You are not only in violation of theft - using Club property photo without permission, you are also in direct violation of the agreement you signed with the organization on May 5, 2005.

Indianapolis Colts Inc. is represented by the law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP.

Accosted by overzealous former cheerleaders, Lisa Perry takes the high road.  But who is to blame for such an unprovoked attack?  If the above black eyes were real, Ms. Duncan would have much more to be embarrassed about than Lisa's writing for Gambling911.
Chinese sweatshop workers make more than Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders?  Not quite, but close!

The Colts Cheerleader organization needs to accept that their employees will some day move on to bigger and better things, and stop being so bitter.  Just because Ms. Perry is now making 3000 times more money.

A deeply religious girl who does not believe in violence: Lisa just wants to be left to pursue her dream as a writer/reporter and does not need this drama in her life.

Duncan Do Nots

Nicole M. Duncan, was fast to have the Indianapolis Colts legal eagles order Ms. Perry to "immediately cause the photographs of you in your Colts Cheerleader uniform, together with the text associating you with the Colts to be removed from the Gambling911 website".  As if Lisa Perry would even know how to put such photographs up on Gambling911 to begin with.

Duncan assumes that we here at Gambling911 were not aware of Lisa's affiliation with the Colts organization and that we relied on HER (a public figure) to reveal this FACT to us.

Gambling911.com, upon contact with its own legal counsel, has been informed that Ms. Perry's previous employment is FACT and can be mentioned whenever we want.  Images of Lisa appearing in a Colts cheerleading uniform, however, were promptly removed and would have been taken down without Nicole M. Duncan running to her lawyers the next day.

Lisa Perry will not be making reference to herself as a Former Indianapolis Cheerleader either.  We, however, will.  Nobody else at Gambling911.com signed a Cheerleader Agreement.

A few of the Indianapolis cheerleaders, speaking on condition of anonymity have told Gambling911.com that they are now being closely scrutinized by Colts Cheerleader Management and that Ms. Perry is being blamed for Management's tighter reign over the girls.  Some report they were threatened with termination of their $50 cheerleading jobs.  Incidentally, the Gambling911.com office cleaning lady gets paid more than that and she may or may not be legal.

This became abundantly clear last weekend when Lisa attended the Colts/Bengals game in Cincinnati.  Ms. Perry was dining with some friends at a local bar when a group of dissident Colts cheerleaders approached Lisa as she left the woman's washroom all alone.

The group of unrulies told Perry she was the reason why the Colts organization has begun to enforce the law of the land.  The ringleader of this vicious gang of cheerleaders wanted to fight Perry (a blackbelt in karate) but Lisa did the right thing and walked away.

The idea that someone would be shunned for taking a reporter position with such an upstanding media organization and family web site as Gambling911.com, which has been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal and elsewhere, is unfathomable to us.

It should be noted that Gambling911.com will protect its writers from such egregious harassment in the future to the fullest extent of the law.  Although it must be pointed out that these few bad apples are the exception.  Much of Lisa's former squad are supportive of her new career move and remain in close contact.

Gambling911.com is no stranger to lawsuits and protecting its right to FREE SPEECH.  In 2001, the ownership of Gambling911.com, Mr. Tostigan, won a landmark case - as seen here

In other news, Gambling911.com would like to announce Mr. A.J. Benza has joined our writing staff.  Mr. Benza you might know from the E! Network's Mysteries and Scandals and the Howard Stern Show.

WATCH FOR MORE COMING SOON!!!!
