Lawyer Ron 2007 Breeders Cup Betting Odds

Lawyer Ron 2007 Breeders Cup betting odds are available at Sportsbook.com, which has the very best odds on Lawyer Ron that we could find: paying 7 to 2 or $350 for every $100 bet.

Strengths: Explosive turn of foot makes him capable of outrunning his rivals and putting up serious times on the stopwatch that few can match. Has devastated the east coast’s best handicap horses, and also has shipped back to the Midwest to secure the Oaklawn Handicap this season.

Weaknesses: Lawyer Ron’s worst career efforts have come in 1-1/4 miles showcases, the 2006 Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup Classic, where he finished ninth to end his sophomore season. His Achilles heel historically has been an inability to relax and settle in his races, although that problem appears to have been addressed in his 2007 final preps.

Although Lawyer Ron has dominated in races on the dirt, his performances on the turf and polytrack surfaces have so far been less than stellar. Overall he is 0-7 away from the dirt only finishing in the money four times. However he won nine of his next twelve races (and placed second in one), all on dirt.

Lawyer Ron returned last August to win the inaugural St. Louis Derby at Fairmount Park, followed that with a second-place finish in the Super Derby at Louisiana Downs and then finished ninth in last year’s Classic.
