Lakers vs. Celtics NBA Finals Betting Odds - Game 6

Lakers vs. Celtics NBA Finals betting odds were being offered up at Celtics -4.  Additionally, BetOnline.com listed the Lakers as +400 underdogs to win the series and ultimately the 2008 NBA Championship.  That would translate into a $400 payout for every $100 bet.

The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers were the two best teams in the NBA over this series, and they are putting on a show for the fans with a very entertaining NBA Finals. The favored Celtics will have a glorious chance to celebrate their 17th title when they host the Lakers at TD Banknorth Garden on Tuesday in Game 6.

Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics – 9:00 PM ET

The Lakers showed a lot of heart in Game 5's 103-98 win at home, despite the fact that they let a 19-point lead in the first half disappear. Kobe Bryant led the way with 25 points, while Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol each notched a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and 19 points and 13 boards respectively. This, coupled with the absence of Boston center Kendrick Perkins, gave the Lakers a distinct advantage in the post, which Odom and Gasol exploited.

Paul Pierce was huge for the Celtics, as the captain poured in 38 points along with some great defense on Bryant. But Ray Allen struggled with 16 points on 4-for-13 shooting, while Rajon Rondo was 1-for-7 for just three points and showed he is still suffering from the ankle injury from Game 4. Kevin Garnett added 13 points and 14 boards for the Celtics, but he was in foul trouble for most of the first half.

The Celtics have a 4-point spread at home in this potential series-clinching game, and their bench will have a big say in how this game turns out. The Los Angeles substitutes have not played well away from home, so their Boston counterparts can give the Celtics a big advantage. Bryant will do his best to carry his team to a seventh game, but will fall just short as Boston will celebrate another championship with a hard-fought victory on Tuesday.
