Kimbo Slice Betting Odds Being Sliced During Final Hours

Having reached an apparent peak at -210 earlier in the day, Kimbo Slice odds continued to be slashed by the folks at Bookmaker.com - down to -175.  And they may not be done yet.

Bookmaker.com has one of the largest professional sports betting bases on the planet and the "sharp" action appeared to be leaning in favor of Ray Mercer.

The fight itself has gained significant attention as has the evening's marquee boxing match between Ricky Hatton and Luis Castillo, which after only one hour of publication was fast becoming one of the most visited articles on the Sports911.com website Saturday afternoon.

"We are dubbing this 'Fight Weekend' here at Sports911.com," proclaimed Senior Editor, Payton O'Brien.

That's because there in addition to Kimbo Slice vs Ray Mercer and Ricky Hatton vs Luis Castillo, there was also a popular MMA bout featuring Frank Shamrock and The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale was also being broadcast.

The Kimbo Slice Ray Mercer fight was drawing heavy readership as the event approached.

Kimbo Slice real name Kevin Ferguson (born c. 1976) is a Miami, Florida-based underground fighter. He has appeared in several bare-knuckle fights which have spread primarily on the Internet. Kimbo is the cousin of 2004 Olympic Judo contender Rhadi Ferguson.

Slice has worked as a bodyguard for the pornographic VIP Graham Heffelfinger and MILF Hunter productions.  Rolling Stone has stated his age at 31 (in 2007) and called Slice "The King of the Web Brawlers".  His current bare-knuckle fighting record is 7-1.

Slice will be featured on The Iron Ring, a new television series airing on BET which features mixed martial arts prospects. Slice will be a part of the selection process for the participants.

Ray Mercer is the former WBO World Heavyweight Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist
