Judge Roy L Pearson Loses Pants and Case

Judge Roy L Pearson lost more than just his pants when he visited the District of Columbia dry cleaner owned by Soo Chung, Jin Nam Chung and Ki Y Chung.

The judge also lost his $54 million lawsuit in a court case that took only two days to reach a decision.

District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Judith Bartnoff ruled that the owners of Custom Cleaners did not violate the city's Consumer Protection Act by failing to live up to Roy L Pearson's expectations of the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" and "Same Day Service" signs in the shop window.

She ruled: "Plaintiff Roy L Pearson, Jr takes nothing from the defendants, and defendants Soo Chung, Jin Nam Chung and Ki Y Chung are awarded the costs of this action against the plaintiff Roy L Pears.

But for the defendants, the case has already taken a financial toll on their lives.  News of the "lost trousers" has "exposed the Chungs to national ridicule", they said.

Interestingly enough none of the online gambling websites had been offering odds on the high profile case, considered one of the silliest by experts including TV's most famous judge, Judge Judy, who on Larry King Live suggested that Pearson might have a few screws loose.
