Which quarterback will start for the Bills in Week 2?

Josh Allen -150
Nathan Peterman +120

While the odds don't overwhelmingly favor Allen to get the nod over Nathan Peterman, the putrid statistics Peterman has put up in two seasons certainly warrant a changing of the guard.

In Peterman's total playing time in three career starts, Buffalo has been outscored 77-14, and he hasn't finished any of the three games. He has a 16.8 career passer rating, which is the fourth-worst rating among 227 NFL quarterbacks who have made a start since 2001.

On 25 Bills drives with Peterman as the quarterback, the results have been seven interceptions, 11 punts, three turnovers on downs, a missed field goal, a kneel down (end of half) and two touchdowns. Peterman has led the team to just 14 first downs with only three drives generating more than one first down and one drive generating more than two first downs. The Bills have averaged 11.96 yards per drive and 3.08 yards per play (3.00 yards per passing play) with Peterman under center.

Peterman led the Bills to -7 net yards in two and a half quarters versus Baltimore in Week 1. In the first half against San Diego last year, he threw five interceptions before being benched.

The Bills are currently 7-point home underdogs to the Chargers in Week 2, and bookies are expecting that number to climb as the week wears on. The game total is 42.5.
