Jinxed by Gisele, a
la Jessica?
Not that we in any
way subscribe to
superstitious
falderal.
No, not us.
But the Super Bowl
left us wondering:
Is there a
famous-girlfriend
jinx?
Hey, football fans
love to spot a
trend.
Fact one: Pop star
Jessica Simpson gets
major facetime at
Cowboys-Eagles game
in December, and
boyfriend
quarterback Tony
Romo plays lame-o
and loses.
Fact two: Said
Simpson and said
Romo do the Cobo
tryst before the
Giants-Cowboys
playoff game, and,
well, the result
leaves teammate
Terrell Owens in
tears.
Here, T.O., have
another Kleenex.
What, T.O, you also
just lost like
$700,000 'cause you
have to repay part
of your Eagles
signing bonus?
Maintenance,
somebody mop up
these puddles!
Fact three:
Supermodel Giselle
Bundchen was
watching her QB boy
toy Tom Brady
yesterday at the
Super Bowl, when he
puts up 14 measly
points.
So much for history.
So much for the
Patriots going 19-0.
Blame the babe?
Brady himself may
have given credence
to the theory when,
according to a
friend last month,
he advised Tony Romo
that Simpson stay
away from games.
"After that debacle
of a game with
Jessica being
flashed on the
screens during every
play, Tom told Tony
to put a stop to
allowing Jess to
come to games. Think
about it: How often
do you see Gisele
cheering Tom on?"
according to a
friend of Brady's
quoted on various
gossip sites.
The friend is
further quoted as
saying that if the
Pats get into the
big time, "Gisele
will likely know
enough to keep away.
Unlike Jessica, she
realizes football is
more than just a
game, it's his
career."
Talk about pressure.
Maybe the latest
Spygate allegations
- that the Patriots
spied on a St. Louis
Rams practice before
the '02 Super Bowl -
were a distraction
as Brady practiced
this week.
Oh, wait. He didn't
practice much.
Because of a bad
ankle. Which came to
light when he was
cavorting around
enemy territory -
New York - with
Gisele.
New York? Maybe
she's an undercover
Giants fan.
Or could it be that,
like any normal guy,
bigtime quarterbacks
can get nervous with
a beautiful woman
watching?
Maybe the X's and
O's that really
matter stand for
hugs and kisses.
Maybe it's not so
dumb after all to
ask: Is there a
jinx?
That's not the
biggest question,
though, says
gambling911.com.
"The big question
now is Who dumps
Whom first?" asks
Tyrone Black. "Will
Tony Romo dump
Jessica first or
with Tom Brady dump
Gisele Bundchen
first?"
Well, at least Tony
will still have T.O.
