Jerry Yang Not a Lock to Win World Series of Poker

At one point Dr. Jerry Yang was up by nearly three times the amount of chips as his next opponent.  Shortly after midnight and 12 hours of play, Yang was looking less invincible.

Creeping up on Dr. Yang was South African Raymond Rahme who at 12:30 am had 34,950 chips compared to Yang's 43,275.

This was now anybody's World Series of Poker.  After a number of fast eliminations, the four remaining players have held on for the past 6 hours without anyone busting.

Early predictions had the 2007 World Series of Poker lasting until 5 am PST.  What seemed unlikely this afternoon now appeared possible.

We will soon find out.  Here is how things looked at 3:30 am EST:

Jerry Yang 43,275,000

Raymond Rahme 34,950,000

Tuan Lam 29,975,000

Alex Kravchenko 19,275,000
