Cricket World Cup Luck of the Irish
Pot of gold for
punters would be massive should Ireland go all the
way
The luck of the Irish was shining down upon team Ireland this St. Patrick's Day. Ireland celebrated its biggest upset in World Cup history, beating a heavily favored Pakistan team.
At press time, Ireland was listed with odds of 251.00 or 250 to 1 of winning the 2007 Cricket World Cup. That payout would be a pretty amazing pot of gold.

Pakistan's defeat in a rain-interrupted Group D match consigned the 1992 champions to an almost certain first-round exit.
Ireland's William Porterfield, left, and Niall O'Brien run between wickets during their Group D Cricket World Cup match against Pakistan in Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday.
Boyd Rankin, a six-foot-seven pace bowler, claimed three for 32, while Andre Botha took 2-5 and Kyle McCallan claimed 2-12 to restrict Pakistan to a modest 132 in 46 overs.
Ireland captain Trent Johnson clinched the win with a six, lifting Ireland to 133-7 chasing a rain-revised target of 128 with 5.2 overs to spare.
Meanwhile, at Port of Spain, Trinidad, Bangladesh pulled a surprise five-wicket upset over India, with teenage batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal and Sakim Al Hasan scoring important half-centuries.
Australia was the favorite to win the 2007 Cricket World Cup with odds just shy of 2 to 1.
