Internet Gambling: New Processors Should be up by Next Week
Internet gambling companies that have relied heavily on mailing out checks to their customers over the past two weeks due to numerous electronic funds processors pulling out of the US market expect to have new processors set up some time next week.
While things are still rough and payout delays are now up to 10 business days, next week we will likely see much of the industry getting back to normal.
Traditionally, following a Super Bowl there is usually a longer than usual waiting period due to the large volumes of customers requesting payouts.
"We're working on better payment methods which should be up and running in the next couple of weeks," disclosed Hayden Ware of World Sports Exchange. "Players just need to be patient and give us time to put these new systems in place."
Costa Rica's bookmakers and other gambling operators remain on edge.
Several dozen FBI agents were flown into Costa Rica Wednesday to help train the local police force in dealing with narcotics trafficking.
Many of the nation's dozens of online (and offline) bookmakers feared they were coming for them.
