Hillary Clinton or Sanjaya: Who Stands the Better Odds of Winning?

AddThis Social Bookmark Button Both candidates seem invincible but both candidates also have stiff competition.  US Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton may have been drawing upon American Idol icon Sanjaya Malakar's popularity to boost her own support in the 18 to 19 year old voting group.

On Saturday she commented on Sanjaya Malakar, if for only a brief moment.

During a call-in on a New Hampshire radio station (W-O-K-Q), the New York senator and presidential candidate was asked what could the U-S do about Sanjaya Malakar.

He's the tv show's underdog contestant who's often criticized as untalented, though he put forth some of the more memorable performances of this season, including last week's Latin theme show where his singing actually stood out more than his hair.

Senator Clinton responded, "That's the best question I've been asked in a long time."

But she skirted around the issue just as we would expect a typical politician to do, noting that people can vote for whomever they want.

She added, "That's true in my election, and it's true on 'American Idol.'"

Sanjaya Malakar unbelievably is now listed with 5 to 1 odds of winning Season 6 of American Idol at Sportsbook.com (see website here). Hillary Clinton still has better odds of becoming the next President of the United States in 2008 with even odds.
