Digg.com now features a 2008 US Presidential candidate support section where individuals can join "friend" networks in a similar vein as MySpace. And one of the bigger surprises is that front runner candidate Hillary Clinton only has 458 "friends" in her Digg.com support base compared to Barack Obama's 5738. Even Republican Mike Huckabee has more "friends" in his network: a total of 588 to be exact. Dennis Kucinch has 4950 while Mike Gravel has 1665. Even John Edwards has more "friends" than Hillary - 837. You can now check

presidential
candidates profiles
on Digg! Add your
favorite candidates
as a friend to show
support, and to see
all their Digging
activity in your

feed. Many of them
will be Digging,
commenting and even
submitting content. Digg is a
community-based
popularity website
with an emphasis on
technology and
science articles,
recently expanding
to a broader range
of categories such
as politics and
entertainment. It
combines social
bookmarking,
blogging, and
syndication with a
form of
non-hierarchical,
democratic editorial
control. Republican Ron Paul has double the number of "friends" than his biggest competition, Obama - just over 11,000. |
