Georgia Bulldogs Odds
to Win 2008 BCS Championship
The Georgia Bulldogs
odds to win the 2008 BCS Championship were set at
+2200 or 22 to 1 with the payout potential of $2200
for every $100 bet. Georgia's odds to win the
SEC East division were set at +250 or a $250 win for
every $100 bet. The Bulldogs must beat out
-110 favored Florida first. Tennessee and
South Carolina each have odds of +300 and +400,
respectively. It's a tough division to be
sure.

What does Athlon
have to say:
Georgia went
into spring practice worried about its offense and
came out worried about its defense. The Bulldogs’ D
gave up big plays all spring. The defensive line,
without departed ends Quentin Moses and Charles
Johnson, has to get pressure on opposing
quarterbacks to provide enough support for an
athletic but inexperienced secondary.
If the defensive coaches can get things straightened
out in the offseason, Georgia has a chance to
compete for the SEC title again, because the offense
seems to be on track. In fact, if all of the
Bulldogs’ playmakers live up to their potential,
this could be the most exciting offensive year of
Richt’s tenure in Athens.
Under 9 regular
season wins, incidentally, is a heavy -190 favorite,
meaning you would have to bet $190 just to win $100
on the under. Over 9 regular season wins pays
out $150 for every $100 bet.
