Gambling addicts?  Gimme a break

Ok, Jenny's a little perturbed these past few days.  Seems that both CNN and Fox News decided to feature segments on so-called "gambling addictions" with your typical "in-the-shadows" addict crying about how online gambling has ruined their lives.  WTF?

Yeah, go ahead and blame it on internet gambling.  Jenny doesn't feel like waiting at a red light.  Jenny proceeds to run red light.  Jenny mows down old lady.

"Officer, I can explain.  I have an Attention Deficit Tick!"

It's true, we can blame whatever on whatever, whenever and it is easy enough to slam Jenny's favorite pastime, online gambling, when in reality these individuals have much more serious problems.  They have compulsive behavior syndrome so that if they are not gambling, chances are they will be drinking or snorting coke.  Let them gamble DAMNIT!

At least with online gambling websites - the legitimate one's - there are safeguards in place to prevent those under 18 years of age from entering (all the credit card and identification verifications have become an industry standard these days).  And you have to post up your money.

Yes credit cards make the post up process easier for these compulsive people but these so-called "addicts" probably shouldn't have credit cards to begin with.  Maybe we should start up a Credit Card Anonymous group.  I know more credit card addicts than I do people who go crazy gambling, that's for damn sure.

CNN's feature was hilarious for those of us who know even an inkling about how online gambling works.  I got with my girl Payton O'Brien who offered her opinion on the piece.

"There were two shadowed people claiming to have bet ridiculous amounts using a number of credit cards," O'Brien said.  "I find this difficult to believe since most online gambling companies would red flag anyone using more than one credit card with one account and these companies also impose strict limits on the amount that can be wagered using a credit card in any given period of time."

Then there was the Sunday night Fox News piece featuring some girl who must have had her eyes roll up at least seven times.  Jenny was always taught that doing this indicates "fibbing".  Just ask Judge Judy.  It was as if the whole thing was scripted with a very bad actress.  WTF?

But big kudos to CNN and Fox for featuring positive stories on the internet gambling industry over the last few months.  I'm guessing there is a need for some balance and what better way to throw a monkey wrench into the fire than to have a bunch of degenerates crying over their supposed gambling problem.

I have a porn addiction but you won't see me on CNN or Fox bitching about it regardless of how much I spend on this addiction using my Jenny Woo Mastercard.

Hey Boys!  Ladies!  Don't forget to check out my BLOG daily.  Now, I don't always get around to writing but I try to update at least a few times a week.  Write me too here
