Full Tilt Poker overtakes PartyPoker
Full Tilt Poker this week became the #2 online poker site, still far behind the leader, PokerStars.com. Full Tilt Poker just narrowly managed to edge out PartyPoker for the #2 spot.
According to PokerSiteScout.com Full Tilt averaged 3992 real cash players over the last 7 days while PartyPoker averaged 3513. PokerStars leads the pack with an 8075 average.
Ladbrokes Poker enters the rankings with an average of 677 real cash players over the last 7 days. Ladbrokes, which does not accept customers from the US, is widely expected to become one of the world's leading online poker sites in the months to come.
That company - England's largest bookmaker - has already announced plans for a European version of the phenomenally popular World Series of Poker.
The Tribeca Network, which averaged just over 1500 real cash players this past week, is expected to drop off significantly in the next 6 months as it will be disbanding from the US market. Several of its top poker rooms, including Gambling911.com endorsed Doyles Room, Golden Palace Poker and BetUS.com Poker, are expected to start their own poker network as a result, one that would cater to the US marketplace.
