Who's worse in Fox News eyes? 2008 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul or enemy number one, Usama bin Laden? It's hard to tell. Fox excluded the long time Texas Congressman from its Sunday night debate despite Paul leading a few of his Republican colleagues in New Hampshire, all of whom were invited. The Republican GOP in the state even pulled its support for the debate. Fox News Hannity & Combs took a full 57 minutes to even mention the name "Ron Paul" during their Monday night show, while CNN's Anderson Cooper only took a mere 6 minutes to broadcast that Paul was in a tie with Rudy Giuliani. And the Fox News mention wasn't under the most flattering of circumstances. They called Ron Paul supporters "lunatics" and showed a grainy video of Sean Hannity being taunted as he walked past a group of furious supporters outside last night's debate venue. The show made no mention as to why Paul (the new dirty four letter word) was excluded from the debate, nor did they even disclose that he was excluded. Fox News has taken some flack in recent days from those beyond the Paul supporters. But he's not the only candidate being treated like the red-headed step child. Mike Huckabee is being painted as a candidate exclusive for the "religious zealots", which doesn't quite explain how Huckabee did so well in Iowa. John Edwards name was not even mentioned. Edwards stunned many by beating Hillary Clinton in Iowa and he doesn't appear to be doing too bad in New Hampshire either. In a recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports (rasmussenreports.com), GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul tallied 11% among New Hampshire voters, which was good for third among the Republican hopefuls. Paul will be appearing on Jay Leno Monday night. --- Christopher Costigan, Gambling911.com Publisher CCostigan@CostiganMedia.com Originally published January 7, 2008 10:39 pm EST
