Considered the best “pound for pound” boxer in the world, Mayweather will look to win his second WBC belt as De La Hoya puts his Light Middleweight championship on the line. With a flawless record of 37-0 (24 KO’s) Mayweather will look to utilize his superb speed and quickness against an aging De La Hoya (34 years old).

There is little doubt that De La Hoya is on the downside of a legendary career but do not count him out of this bout just yet. Keep in mind that Mayweather is the fighter moving up in class and De La Hoya has an extremely reliable chin to say the least. All that being said, Mayweather is in his prime and could easily pepper De La Hoya all evening for an easy decision. For this very reason, the majority of SuperBook.com bettors feel as if De La Hoya will lose this bout and his belt by decision. On the flip side, thanks to De La Hoya’s chin and his impressive left hook, he is the favorite if this fight ends earlier.

“No doubt this will be the most watched fight in years,” explained SuperBook.com GM Tony Delgado. “It isn’t often that you can watch two of the best fighters in recent years square off in a championship setting. It seems as if everyone will be laying some coin on this bout, supposedly even 50 cent laid a million on his buddy Mayweather. This fight is shaping up to be the Super Bowl of boxing- everybody is putting some coin on it.”

With numerous betting options for this weekend’s fight, there is no reason not to cash in on the “Fight of the Century” at SuperBook.com.
